Barcelona's Squad Value Surges Past €1 Billion, Ranking Fourth Globally
Barcelona's squad value has exceeded €1 billion, placing the club fourth worldwide, following a 7.5% increase attributed to standout performances from young talents like Lamine Yamal.
Barcelona has achieved a significant milestone, with its squad value surpassing €1 billion, positioning the club fourth globally behind Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Arsenal. This development follows a 7.5% increase in the team's market value, as reported by Transfermarkt.
A substantial contributor to this rise is Lamine Yamal, whose market value has soared to €180 million, making him the second most valuable player in La Liga and third worldwide, trailing only Erling Haaland and Vinícius Júnior, both valued at €200 million. Other notable valuations include Pedri (€100 million), Raphinha and Gavi (each at €80 million), and Pau Cubarsi (€70 million).
The emergence of young talents such as Marc Casadó and Marc Bernal has also played a pivotal role in enhancing the squad's overall value. Casadó, for instance, has seen his market value double from €15 million to €30 million.
This financial upswing marks a recovery from previous seasons where the club's market value had declined. Barcelona now stands ahead of clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain in terms of squad valuation.
In contrast, Real Madrid has experienced a 9.3% decrease in market value, with Vinícius Júnior (€200 million) and Jude Bellingham (€180 million) remaining their most valuable players. Additionally, Kylian Mbappé's valuation has dropped to €160 million, placing him fifth globally.
