Jurgen Klopp Eager to Begin Role as Red Bull's Global Head of Soccer
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to commence his new position as Red Bull's Global Head of Soccer on January 1, 2025, expressing enthusiasm for the challenges ahead.
After departing from Liverpool FC in May 2024, Jurgen Klopp is poised to embark on his new journey as the Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull, overseeing football operations across clubs in Germany, Austria, the USA, Brazil, and Japan.
Klopp has expressed his eagerness to begin this role, stating, 'See you in 2025. Perhaps it will be the best year of our lives.'
Despite facing criticism in Germany for joining a corporate football entity, Klopp remains undeterred.
He addressed the critiques, mentioning, 'If you try to please everyone, you'll soon face continuous failures.' His focus is on leveraging his extensive experience to enhance Red Bull's football projects globally.
Red Bull's management shares Klopp's optimism. Oliver Mintzlaff, a senior executive at Red Bull, remarked, 'Jurgen's experience and positive mindset will undoubtedly contribute to our progress.' Klopp's role will primarily involve strategic consulting, aiming to develop Red Bull's football ventures in various countries.
Klopp is scheduled to hold his inaugural press conference on January 14, where he is expected to address recent criticisms and outline his vision for Red Bull's football future. His appointment marks a significant shift from traditional coaching to a broader strategic position within the football industry.
