Construction Begins on New Valencia Football Stadium
Valencia CF resumes construction of its new stadium, aiming to create a modern football venue with cutting-edge facilities and increased capacity.
Valencia CF has restarted work on its ambitious stadium project, marking a pivotal step forward for the club and its future ambitions in European football. Initially planned as the largest football stadium globally, financial challenges stalled the project for years.
The revamped stadium, with a capacity of 70,044, will feature enhanced VIP sections and state-of-the-art technology, positioning it among the top venues for hosting UEFA tournaments. Despite scaling back its original design, the project remains focused on fan experience and sustainability.
Financed through a significant loan secured from Goldman Sachs, construction is expected to conclude by the 2027-28 season. Club President Lay Hoon Chan emphasized the stadium’s role as a symbol of hope and inspiration for the city of Valencia.
By partnering with its original construction contractor from 2007, Valencia ensures continuity and expertise in the project's completion. As work progresses, the stadium represents more than just a physical structure—it’s a statement of ambition and resilience for Valencia CF and its loyal supporters.
