Valencia CF has officially appointed Carlos Corberan as their new head coach, succeeding Ruben Baraja, with a contract extending until June 2027.

Carlos Corberan Appointed as Valencia's New Head Coach

Valencia CF has reached an agreement with Carlos Corberan to become the club's new head coach, following the departure of Ruben Baraja. The Spanish manager, who has garnered significant recognition in English football, particularly with West Bromwich Albion, will lead Valencia until June 2027.

Corberan, a native of Valencia, is set to bring his established coaching team to Mestalla, including assistants Jorge Alarcon, Rafa Arand, and former Osasuna player Damia. This appointment marks Corberan's first venture into top-flight European football, having previously managed teams in the English Championship and served as an assistant at various clubs.

The decision to appoint Corberan comes after Valencia's management opted against hiring Quique Sanchez Flores, choosing instead a less prominent coach with a promising trajectory. The club aims to leverage Corberan's expertise to navigate the challenges ahead and improve their standing in La Liga.
