Juventus Denies Interest in Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee
Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has dismissed reports linking the club with a move for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee, stating that the club is focusing on different targets.
Amid speculation connecting Juventus with a potential transfer for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has clarified the club's position. Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Giuntoli stated, "Zirkzee is very talented, but he is part of another team and I cannot say more than that. We are thinking of something very different."
This statement comes amid reports suggesting that Zirkzee, who has struggled to find consistency at Manchester United since his transfer from Bologna, is seeking a move back to Serie A. However, Giuntoli's comments indicate that Juventus is not pursuing the Dutch forward at this time.
Instead, Juventus appears focused on reinforcing their defense, particularly due to injuries to players like Gleison Bremer and Juan Cuadrado. Giuntoli emphasized the club's intent to strengthen the defensive line, stating, "We are thinking of something very different."
As the January transfer window approaches, Juventus's strategy seems centered on addressing their defensive needs rather than adding to their attacking options. Consequently, despite earlier rumors, a move for Joshua Zirkzee does not align with the club's current priorities.
