Nuri Sahin: Dortmund Must Aim Higher Than Eighth
Borussia Dortmund's coach Nuri Sahin insists the team should not settle for eighth place in the Bundesliga, aiming for stronger performances to climb the table.
Nuri Sahin, head coach of Borussia Dortmund, has emphasized the club’s potential to perform better than their current eighth position in the Bundesliga. Speaking ahead of their match against Wolfsburg, Sahin underlined the team’s need to regain consistency and focus on long-term improvement.
In a press conference, Sahin stated, “We must acknowledge the reality of representing a big club. We’re struggling with results and cannot be content with being eighth. The end-of-season rankings matter most, but we must turn things around now.”
Sahin added, “I expect stability from myself and the team. Our recent form has been disappointing, but I’m confident we can climb the standings with disciplined and focused performances.”
He also shared updates on injured players, noting the possible return of Julian Brandt and Waldemar Anton, while Julian Ryerson remains uncertain for the upcoming game. As Dortmund travels to Wolfsburg, the coach expressed hope for a victory to spark a stronger second half of the season.
