Kyle Walker Confirms Manchester City Cancels Christmas Break
Manchester City's captain Kyle Walker announces that the team will train on Christmas Day to prepare for their Boxing Day clash with Everton.
Kyle Walker, the captain of Manchester City, has confirmed that the team will not have a Christmas break this year. Following a string of poor performances in the Premier League, including a recent 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, the club has intensified its preparations.
Walker explained in an interview, "In previous seasons, we were fortunate to have Christmas Day off to spend with our families. This year, we must train on Christmas because we have an early game against Everton on Boxing Day."
The decision comes amidst mounting criticism of both Pep Guardiola and the team as they struggle to regain their form. Guardiola has been closely analyzing the squad's performance in hopes of finding solutions to their recent struggles.
While the players are reportedly unhappy with the cancellation of the holiday break, Walker emphasized the importance of the decision, stating, "It’s not what anyone wants, but we understand the need to stay focused and prepare thoroughly for the upcoming match."
