Frankfurt's Keeper Errors Cost Them Against Mainz

The first blunder occurred in the 15th minute when Santos, under pressure during defensive passing, misplaced a ball that led to Mainz's opening goal. In an attempt to clear, Santos accidentally knocked the ball into his own net.

Frankfurt, already struggling after Nadiem Amiri was sent off in the 58th minute, suffered again when Santos failed to handle a back-pass correctly. The mistake gifted Mainz another easy opportunity, which they capitalized on to extend their lead.
