Madueke's Surprising Response on Title Hopes: 'I Don't Know What That Is!'
Chelsea's young forward, Noni Madueke, downplays title talk, emphasizing the team's focus on self-improvement and daily progress.
Despite Chelsea's impressive performance this season and being just two points behind Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, the team's members continue to downplay their title chances. Noni Madueke, Chelsea's young forward, recently joined this trend.
In an interview with the BBC, when asked about Chelsea's title prospects, Madueke responded, 'I don't even know what that is. I don't think so. We are just competing with ourselves.' He added, 'We try to get better every day, and we certainly are. To talk about title chances in December, I won't go beyond that. It's too early to discuss these matters.'
Madueke also addressed the perceived competition with Bukayo Saka for a starting spot in the England national team. He stated, 'I never see Bukayo as a rival because I consider him a teammate in our national team. I am well aware of his quality and always try to implement aspects of his performance into my game.'
