Pachuca Coach Warns Real Madrid: 'We Are Not Inferior'
Pachuca’s head coach Guillermo Almada issued a warning to Real Madrid ahead of their Intercontinental Cup final clash, insisting his team is capable of achieving victory despite the odds.
Guillermo Almada, head coach of Mexican club Pachuca, has sent a bold warning to Real Madrid ahead of their upcoming Intercontinental Cup final in Lusail Stadium, Qatar. Almada expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete on an equal footing with the European giants.
“We must believe in ourselves,” Almada stated. “This game is not about names or history. On the pitch, it’s eleven versus eleven, and we are not less than them. If we trust our abilities and play our own style, anything is possible.”
Pachuca heads into the final following a demanding schedule. Almada acknowledged the challenge but remained optimistic: “We’ve had a very tight calendar, but we are fully focused on this match. Defeating Real Madrid would be a historic achievement for us. It will be difficult, but we will give everything to make it happen.”
When asked about stopping Real Madrid’s key stars, including Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe, Almada emphasized team effort over individual tactics: “We have no specific plan to stop their stars because Real Madrid is full of world-class players. The key for us is solid organization, defensive focus, and teamwork.”
The match is set to be a monumental test for Pachuca as they aim to upset one of the most dominant clubs in football history.
