Thierry Henry: I Dreamed of Playing with Drogba and Anelka

Thierry Henry, one of the greatest strikers in football history, has disclosed his dream of playing with Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka. Despite his illustrious career with Arsenal, Barcelona, and the French national team, Henry shared his admiration for the two legendary forwards.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Henry expressed his thoughts: “I always wanted to play with Drogba. It’s because of his style of play and the kind of player he was. There were always two players I dreamed of playing with: one was Drogba, and the other was Anelka.”

Henry, who won the 1998 FIFA World Cup and multiple titles in La Liga and the Premier League, reflected on what it could have been like to pair up with Drogba: “I think having Drogba and me in the same attack would have been a serious problem for any defense. A few days ago, I saw Drogba at the airport, and we talked about how incredible it would have been to play together.”

The Arsenal legend also praised Anelka, saying: “Let’s not forget Anelka. He was a massive threat for every opponent. I really wanted to play alongside him as well.”

Henry’s comments underline his respect for these two iconic players and the impact they had during their footballing careers.
