Jordan Henderson Declines Return to English Football
Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, currently at Ajax, dismisses rumors about a return to England, emphasizing his commitment to his new club.
Jordan Henderson, the former captain of Liverpool, has made it clear that he does not intend to return to English football at this time. After a 12-year career at Liverpool, during which he made 492 appearances and captained the team to a Premier League title in 2020, Henderson moved to Saudi Arabia and later joined Ajax.
Recent rumors suggested a possible move back to England, particularly to Sunderland, Henderson's childhood club. However, Henderson stated, "Sunderland is my club and always will be. But for now, I want to stay at Ajax and help this club grow."
Henderson expressed his happiness with his current role at Ajax, adding, "We are making progress here, and I enjoy being part of this journey. The rumors about my return to England are baseless as no contact has been made."
