Al Shabab Coach Departs for Premier League Dream
Al Shabab announces the departure of Portuguese coach Vitor Pereira, who is reportedly set to join Wolverhampton in the Premier League.
Al Shabab Football Club has officially announced the departure of its Portuguese head coach, Vitor Pereira. The club revealed that Pereira decided to terminate his contract unilaterally and has committed to paying the associated release clause. Despite efforts by the club's management to retain him, Pereira chose to pursue his ambitions elsewhere.
According to reports in 'Al Riyadiya', Pereira has expressed his desire to join Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, describing the move as a 'dream opportunity'.
Pereira, 56, took charge of Al Shabab in February of this year, with his contract extended in July. During his tenure, he managed 15 matches, including 13 in the Saudi Pro League and two in the King Cup of Champions. Currently, Al Shabab is sixth in the league, trailing leaders Al Ittihad by 13 points, and has reached the quarterfinals of the King Cup.
Al Shabab has begun its search for a new head coach, aiming for a quick resolution to continue its campaign effectively.
