Arsenal Seen as Liverpool's Sole Rival for Premier League Title
Gary Neville identifies Arsenal as Liverpool's main challenger for the Premier League title, citing their ability to close the gap in critical months.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has expressed his belief that Arsenal is the only team capable of challenging Liverpool for the Premier League title this season.
Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, Neville stated, "Liverpool is the best team in the Premier League right now. They are the main title contenders, capitalizing on Manchester City's unexpected decline." He added, "The only team Liverpool should be wary of is Arsenal. If Arsenal manages to regain their form and close the gap by March or April, they could pose a real threat."
Currently, Liverpool leads the Premier League table with 39 points from 16 games, holding a game in hand over their competitors. Neville emphasized that Liverpool's biggest risk lies in potential injuries to key players like Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, whose contributions are vital to the team's performance.
