Milan President Backs Fonseca Amid Serie A Struggles

Paolo Scaroni, president of AC Milan, has dismissed speculation regarding the potential sacking of head coach Paulo Fonseca. Despite Milan's current eighth position in Serie A, Scaroni reassured fans that the club remains fully supportive of Fonseca's leadership.

Scaroni stated, "Fonseca is not at risk. We are confident in his abilities and believe he can lead the team to better results." Milan's management has set their sights on climbing the Serie A table and maintaining fierce competition with rivals Inter Milan.

Scaroni also addressed remarks by Milan owner Gerry Cardinale concerning Inter's financial struggles following their Serie A title win. "Cardinale's comments were aimed at previous ownership issues, not the current club management," Scaroni clarified, emphasizing mutual respect and collaboration between the Milanese rivals, particularly in their joint efforts to build a new stadium.

Milan fans have shown resilience and continued support, with hopes high for an improved performance in the second half of the season. The club's focus remains on achieving consistency and securing a European qualification spot.
