Fonseca addressed the recent benching of Theo Hernandez, saying, "Theo has played extensively this season, both for Milan and his national team. He needs time to regain full fitness, and this decision was to help him return to top form." Fonseca praised Hernandez as "one of the best full-backs in the world" and dismissed rumors of punishment.
