Mohamed Salah delivered a stellar performance in Liverpool's 5-0 victory over West Ham United, surpassing David Beckham's Premier League assist record and setting new personal milestones.

Salah's Brilliance Surprises Even Himself!

In Liverpool's commanding 5-0 win against West Ham United, Mohamed Salah once again proved instrumental, particularly in the first half. The 32-year-old forward achieved multiple historic feats during the match.

Post-match, Salah told Sky Sports, 'I just try to enjoy playing.' He downplayed his interest in records, emphasizing, 'I only think about wanting Liverpool to win the Premier League and being part of that. That's my sole focus.'

Addressing ongoing contract discussions, Salah remarked, 'We're not there yet. I don't want to provide fodder for the media, but truly, nothing has happened.' His concentration remains firmly on the team's objectives.

Salah's performance was exceptional: for the eighth time this season, he registered both a goal and an assist in a Premier League match—a record unmatched in the league's history. With his 81st and 82nd assists, he surpassed former Manchester United star David Beckham, moving into the top ten Premier League assist providers. Continuing at this pace, Salah is poised to overtake former teammate James Milner (89 assists) in the ninth position.

His first assist to Cody Gakpo in the 40th minute was particularly noteworthy. After a cross from Luis Díaz, Salah skillfully maneuvered past defender Kostas Mavropanos, nutmegging him, and then threaded the ball through Max Kilman's legs to find Gakpo. When asked if the consecutive nutmegs were intentional, Salah responded, 'I don't think the first was deliberate, but the second was, as it was my only option.'

Shortly thereafter, Salah scored with a confident strike in the 40th minute. TV analyst René Adler commented, 'What the Reds are doing looks like playing on a console. They manipulate West Ham at will.'

In the closing minutes, Salah provided an assist to Diogo Jota. The Egyptian forward now boasts 17 goals and 13 assists in the league. Given additional opportunities, Salah could have further increased his goal tally; nonetheless, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Díaz also contributed to Liverpool's goal fest.
