Ronaldo's Countryman to Feature in Saudi El Clasico
Ruben Neves is expected to return for Al Hilal in their highly anticipated clash against Al Ittihad in the Saudi King's Cup quarter-finals.
Ruben Neves, the Portuguese midfielder for Al Hilal, is likely to make his comeback in the Saudi El Clasico against Al Ittihad on January 7, as part of the King's Cup quarter-finals. According to reports from 'Al Riyadhia,' Neves is set to rejoin team training early next month after completing his rehabilitation program.
The recovery plan began following surgery on his knee patellar tendon in November. Neves' return would mark his first appearance since October 21, when he sustained the injury during a 5-4 victory over Al Ain in the AFC Champions League.
The injury forced Neves to miss 10 matches, including three in the AFC Champions League, six in the Saudi Pro League, and one in the King's Cup. Before his injury, the 27-year-old had participated in 11 matches this season, contributing three assists.
