Pique's Ambition: 'I Want to Become Barcelona's President!'
Former Barcelona star Gerard Piqué has expressed his desire to assume the presidency of the club in the future, indicating that while there's no rush, it's a goal he envisions.
Gerard Piqué, who developed through Barcelona's youth system, began his professional career with Manchester United in 2004 before returning to Barcelona in 2008. After retiring from football nearly two years ago, Piqué has shifted his focus towards football management rather than coaching, leading many to consider him a prime candidate for the Barcelona presidency in the near future.
In a recent interview, Piqué addressed the possibility of becoming Barcelona's president: 'This will happen at some point. But we need to see how things unfold. Let's not rush into anything. I'm very happy right now and occupied with my current projects, but we'll think about it.'
Piqué's deep connection with Barcelona and his popularity among fans position him as a favorable successor to Joan Laporta once his presidential term concludes.
