Enrique Cerezo, President of Atletico Madrid, announced his readiness to collaborate with Barcelona by offering Wanda Metropolitano as a temporary home for their matches. This comes as Barcelona faces challenges with the ongoing renovations at Camp Nou.
Barcelona had aimed to complete the renovation of Camp Nou by early next year, but unforeseen delays have made this target unattainable. Compounding the issue, their agreement with the Montjuic Stadium is nearing its end, with Barcelona’s City Hall prioritizing other events, leaving the team in a difficult position.
Speculation arose yesterday about Barcelona potentially negotiating with Atletico Madrid to use Wanda Metropolitano for the second half of the season. Responding to these rumors, Cerezo told El Chiringuito, "We are always ready to negotiate with any club within our capacity. Although no talks have taken place yet, we will see what the future holds."
Discussing Barcelona's squad, Cerezo added, "They have one of the youngest rosters in Europe but boast very talented players. In my opinion, this team has a bright future ahead."
