Marseille Dismisses Paul Pogba Transfer Rumors
Marseille president Pablo Longoria denies rumors linking Paul Pogba to the club, calling the speculation baseless and distracting.
Pablo Longoria, the president of Marseille, has dismissed recent rumors about the club negotiating with Paul Pogba, who recently returned from suspension. The speculation, which has been widely reported by French media, suggests Pogba could join Marseille during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Longoria expressed his frustration with the attention these rumors have drawn, saying, "Instead of focusing on our results and performance, everyone is talking about Paul Pogba. He is an exceptional player, and I had the pleasure of working with him during my time at Juventus. I am happy to see his suspension has ended, but there have been no negotiations between Marseille and Pogba."
He further clarified that the club’s transfer strategies will be discussed in a meeting next week, emphasizing that all talks regarding Pogba joining Marseille are unfounded. "For now, these are just rumors. To finalize our winter transfer plans, we need to wait for the internal meeting," Longoria added.
