Juventus Targets Sandro Tonali Amid Winter Transfer Plans
Juventus is preparing to bid for Sandro Tonali during the January transfer window, contingent on the sale of young talents such as Kenan Yildiz.
Juventus is reigniting its interest in Sandro Tonali, who currently faces a ban after being implicated in a betting scandal. The Italian midfielder, signed by Newcastle United for €55 million, has been unable to play since the suspension and is now reportedly on the transfer market.
According to 'Corriere dello Sport,' Juventus held a meeting on Monday where Tonali's name was discussed. The club intends to submit a formal offer during the January transfer window but must first raise funds by selling players.
Kenan Yildiz, the young Turkish talent, has drawn significant interest from top European clubs, with offers ranging between €35-40 million. Additionally, Juventus is considering bids for midfielder Nicolo Fagioli to meet Newcastle's asking price.
Tonali had previously opted to leave Serie A for Newcastle in the summer but has expressed interest in returning to Italy. Juventus sees this as an opportunity to strengthen their midfield and build on their ambitions in the league and European competitions.
