Following Real Madrid's triumphant 3-0 victory over Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup, where Vinícius Jr. was named the best player of the final, head coach Carlo Ancelotti outlined plans for the Brazilian forward's schedule. Due to accumulating five yellow cards, Vinícius is suspended for the upcoming La Liga match against Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabéu. Ancelotti stated, 'He will return with us, train until Friday, and start his vacation on Saturday. He doesn't need to accompany us on Sunday but will rejoin training on December 30th, like everyone else.'

This arrangement grants Vinícius two additional days of rest, enabling him to recharge ahead of the new year. Real Madrid's first fixture in 2025 is scheduled for January 3rd against Valencia, followed by a Copa del Rey match against Deportiva Minera on January 6th.
