Sancho, currently on loan at Chelsea, responded to a social media post by ESPN featuring comments from Arsenal legend Ian Wright. Wright criticized the decision to sideline Rashford, stating, “At 27, Marcus Rashford is still in his prime. Many people seem eager to see him fail, just to prove themselves right.”

Sancho endorsed Wright's remarks by posting a ‘100%’ emoji on Instagram, showcasing solidarity with his former teammate.

Rashford’s exclusion from United’s lineup for both the derby and an FA Cup clash against Tottenham has fueled rumors about his potential departure. In a recent interview, Rashford hinted at being open to a new challenge, further intensifying speculation.

Ian Wright, during a podcast appearance, elaborated on his support for Rashford, suggesting that a change in environment could unlock his potential: “He has the talent to thrive in a different setup. At 27, he’s far from finished and deserves better opportunities.”
