Leaving United Was Strange, but Chelsea Is Home

Jadon Sancho, now on loan at Chelsea, described his departure from Manchester United as 'strange' but emphasized that Chelsea feels like home due to his childhood admiration for the club.

Speaking to Chelsea's official site, the 24-year-old revealed: “Leaving United was strange, but it feels good to be home. I’ve always supported Chelsea since I was a kid, thanks to legends like Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.”

Sancho has made an impressive impact at Stamford Bridge, scoring twice and assisting once in Chelsea's last five matches under coach Enzo Maresca. He credited Maresca for his positive start: “When we spoke before I joined, he shared his vision for how I could fit into the team and contribute. That conversation convinced me to come here.”

The winger also spoke about his role within the young Chelsea squad: “It’s funny to be one of the older players in such a talented team. I have experience to share, and I enjoy guiding the younger players. Together, we can achieve great things.”

Sancho concluded by expressing optimism for the season: “With the talent we have and our collective hard work, I believe we can accomplish something special.”
