Navas began his professional journey with Sevilla FC in 2003, where he became a pivotal player, contributing to multiple UEFA Europa League and Copa del Rey victories.

In 2013, he transferred to Manchester City, making 123 appearances and securing a Premier League title and two Football League Cups.

Navas returned to Sevilla in 2017, continuing to add to his legacy. Internationally, he earned 56 caps for Spain, playing roles in their 2010 FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship triumphs in 2012 and 2024.
